19th Century French display vitrine from a chapel 39½"

This superb nineteenth century religious display case features beautiful carvings. Most likely displayed in a church or chapel. Near black patina with some faint gilding that has a bronze hue.
There is no glass in the door.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
