Elegant 1900s Bistro Gueridon w/ Original Marble Top - 28¼" x 21¾"

A classic French bistro gueridon featuring a round creamy white marble top edged with its original brass band, set on a tripod cast iron base. The base is richly detailed with pierced scrollwork, grotesque mascarons, and outswept paw feet, in an uncommon and especially decorative pattern. The marble shows a beautiful warm patina with light surface marks and minor staining, the brass rim has gentle ripples and a soft tarnish, and the iron shows oxidation mellowed by age. This elegant table captures the character and charm of early French café style. This petite table works beautifully as a drinks table beside a leather club chair, a lamp table in a reading nook, or a nightstand with character. Its neutral stone and brass pair well with both traditional and industrial interiors, and the weighted base makes it a stable pedestal for a sculpture or a trailing plant.
