Louis XV 18th-century Duchess Brisée

This superb Duchess Brisée dates from the eighteenth century, Louis XV period. One armchair is intentionally larger than the other. There is a pouf that fits between to allow for various seating arrangements. The beautifully-crafted wooden frames are painted beige with some gilding and are carved with delicate floral shapes. It has been re-upholstered in linen with a double piping finish.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
