Louis XV style sauteuse commode w/ two tone paint finish - 35½" x 20"

This French country Louis XV style two drawer chest of drawers dates from the twentieth century. Note the two tone paint finish, emphasizing the pretty decoration on the drawers. Two-drawer commodes on slender legs are called 'sauteuse' commodes as they appear to be ready to jump! This commode has dainty 'pied de biche' or doe's feet at the base of its cabriole legs. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
