Romantic French Louis XV Style Commode in Pale Grey Finish

Gracefully shaped and softly colored, this romantic Louis XV–style commode from the mid-20th century presents a serpentine front with a molded top, scalloped apron, and elegant cabriole legs. Crafted in wood and finished in a slightly distressed pale grey textured surface, it is fitted with foliate and scroll-cast pulls and decorative escutcheons, which are ornamental only, as there are no locks. Paneled sides and gently canted corners frame two full-length drawers, each outlined by subtle molded edges. This piece adds an inviting note to a bedroom as a petite dresser, topped with a mirror and linen-shaded lamps. In an entry, it can serve as a refined console for keys and flowers, its soft color easing into both light and dark palettes.
